Tree Toppers

Our family tradition is to raise each kid up above the tree as a topper.  This was a great idea when they were infants but is becoming increasing difficult with each year.

(And yes, that is the 7th layer of Hell about to release hail and rain on us.)

They were determined to carry the tree back to the truck.  They made it two feet before turning and looking back at us for help.

Star Wars Day

Our local library was celebrating Star Wars with a special story time and a special guest:  R-2D2.  The kids love dressing up in their costumes and meeting R-2D2.

Russell

My dad gave me this poster while we were visiting for Thanksgiving.  It was originally a postcard that someone came across of the family shop in Ireland.  This is the house that my grandpa grew up in and that my uncle currently lives.
I'm so happy to have this picture hanging on my wall!

Girl Scout Ornments

Nora's Girl Scout Troop made these ornaments to donate to Meals on Wheels.  The girls in her troop are pretty amazing and I love spending so much time with them.  This particular project was a little ambitious by myself- but still so much fun.  I may have had a glass of wine once the girls were gone!

Viva Mexico!

The Little Olsons did some international travel this Thanksgiving.  The kids were so excited to go to Mexico for the first time.  Nora was expecting to lay on a sandy beach, but Ensenada is more about shopping (and drinking margaritas).

Brownies!

Nora bridged from Daisy to Brownie!  It has been wonderful to be her Girl Scout Leader and I can't wait for all the fun we will have this year.
