Washington Park

Nora loves Washington Park. I took the kids the other day because it was so nice outside. This park is great, but I think it's a two parent park. These kids are wild and it was hard to keep up with both of them.
If you look behind Nora you can see Ronan running up behind her as fast as he can.

Ronan loves swinging. He really liked it when he was able to swing next to Nora.

Seaside

Last Sunday we decided to go the beach for the day because the weather was beautiful. Both kids fell asleep on our way out there, which worked out great because they were happy the whole time we were in Seaside.

We always like to end our trip by going on the carousel. One of Nora's friends from preschool was also on the carousel with her!

We walked along the boardwalk after lunch.

Ronan loved the sand. Jeff dug a hole and Ronan sat in it and just played in the sand. He loved moving it from one area to the other. The kids also loved running out to the water. Nora fell in and was pretty wet and cold. She told me that her daddy saved her though.

Zoo

We went to the zoo last week with Nora's friends, Aubrey and Kiley. We had a great time.

It's so much easier to go to the zoo with another family. Here is Nora watching Kiley while Tiffaney and Aubrey went to the petting zoo. Nora loves Kiley. I think she's hoping our new baby will be a girl.

The kids took turns riding the barrel horse in the barn.

Nora and Aubrey were making tracks in the sand. Both girls are really similar and really enjoy playing with each other.

Is it really a trip to the zoo if we don't take a picture next to the bears?

Craft Hour

There are just a few cute pictures from an afternoon craft session. Nora loves anything with glitter and loved gluing all the sparkles onto pages. Ronan tries to copy everything she does, but has no idea what he's trying to do.

Why do my kids love each other so much?

He's so focused and has no idea what he's doing.

Ronan goes to Park

While Nora spent the day with her Grammy, I took Ronan to the park. I can't believe how much easier it is to chase after one baby instead of two! Ronan is going to love the parks this summer.

Nora's Sleepover with Grammy

Grammy stayed at Eric and Brian's condo during her trip to Portland. One of the night's she was there, Nora spent the night. It was a huge, exciting event for Nora. She was really looking forward to spending time with her Grammy. I think Grammy was looking forward to it too. Grammy bought Nora a brand new Princess Ariel nightgown for the special night.

They started their day together with a trip to Powells where Nora got a Dumbo book. This book has 100 pages and Grammy read it to Nora three times! Nora still calls it her, "Dumbo book from Grammy."

The girls went to the Chinese Gardens and took some fun pictures.

Nora had a wonderful time with her Grammy and is asking when she can spend the night with her again.

Papa and Ronan

Ronan LOVES his grandpa. I couldn't believe how happy Ronan was around Grandpa. Ronan calls him "Papa" which is super cute. Ever since he left, Ronan will call out for him and when I am talking on the phone he thinks it's his Papa. Here are some of the cute pictures of the two of them together.

Snowshoeing at White River.

I'm sure they are reading ELMO, Ronan's favorite book.

Another picture from the day at the snow.

Snow Shoeing

Jeff's parents were really looking forward to their first snow shoeing trip. We were a little worried that there might not be enough snow, but as you can see from the pictures...there was plenty. Jeff, Grandpa, Grammy and the kids went up to Mt. Hood for the day.

Apparently they found a hole while they were there. I'm sure Nora loved it!

Ronan loves his "Papa."

Grandpa and Grammy Visit!

Jeff's parents came out to visit last week. Nora and Ronan were so excited to see them! Grandpa stayed until Monday and Grammy stayed until Thursday. We had a wonderful visit.

Grammy took the kids shopping at Kohls while she was visiting. Both kids got new pajamas. Nora is wearing a new Princess Ariel nightgown (this one actually fits her)! Ronan got Elmo pajamas. He LOVES them. I don't think the kids have slept in other pjs for the last week.

The kids love to read and enjoyed all the extra reading they got while Grammy was visiting.

Grammy and Grandpa camped out in our playroom the night they stayed here. The kids loved jumping on the air mattress. The rest of the time they were visiting they stayed at Eric and Brian's condo because they were in Australia.

Nora loves snuggles!

Painting

We have had the best winter since moving to Oregon. There has been fewer rainy days and many sunny days. Nora keeps asking if it is summer yet.
Yesterday we brought our paints outside and had a wonderful ten minutes of fun. They made about twenty pictures and were covered in paint in such a short amount of time. We had to go inside and take a very long, pink, bath.

Last Christmas Jeff's parents gave us a hummingbird feeder. We have it hanging outside of our kitchen window. We love watching the birds.

Nora would rather paint her body than paper. She also loves to mix the colors and so all of our artwork eventually becomes this reddish, purplish color.

Ronan kept glancing over at Nora's artwork. He would also love to sneak a bit of his paint onto one of her pictures. He really does think she's the best thing ever.

Zoo

We had a showing scheduled during the Super Bowl. Not that we have a way to watch it, or much interest in it anyway....
We decided to go to the zoo since it was such a nice day. Nora recently watched Dumbo for the first time and LOVES elephants now. We had to go visit the elephants and we even had an elephant ear for snack.

Nora and Ronan sitting on an elephant. Nora is leaning back to kiss Ronan.

We went on the train ride. It was so funny because Ronan loves trains and was so excited to sit on the train. We had to wait about five minutes before it actually took off and when it started moving Ronan was shocked. He would've been happy just to sit on the train, no need for an actual ride.

Snuggles

The kids have been watching a little more TV than I would like to admit. They've been so good while I've been so sick. Ronan hadn't taken much interest in TV and we would've rather waited until he was two for him to start watching....but we recently checked out an Elmo movie from the library and he suddenly loves to watch Elmo. They are so cute when they snuggle up together. Sometimes Nora will try to explain what's going on in the show and remind Ronan when his favorite part is coming.

OMSI

I'm still running....well....walking on Wednesday mornings with my running group. The kids love going to OMSI afterwards. The sandbox has been a big hit lately.

We checked out the new dinosaur skeleton exhibit too. The dinosaurs name is Samson. The kids were not impressed, especially because I kept them in the jogger.
