Children's Museum

Nora loves the Bob the Builder room at the Children's Museum.

Her other favorite area is the light table. She is working on the Little Mermaid's castle here. Sometimes we put Ronan on top of the table and that really makes Norsky happy.
Ronan went for a ride in the shopping cart in the Grocery room. He actually liked it much more than it looks like he did.

Haircuts!

Nora is getting ready for her first haircut. Can you believe it was the first time? She did excellent- and she was adorable.
She was so focused!

Ronan even looks like he was behaving for his haircut!

Ah! He looks like a little man!

Ronan Eats!

This has got to be Jeff's best video yet! Those of you who pay close attention will notice Nora in the background. I wish I could say that this wasn't how dinner usually takes place at our house, but I can't.

White Christmas

Sorry to keep you all waiting for this wonderful Christmas video. We (as in Jeff, he does all the production) have had it on the massive to do list. Then, we finally sat down tonight to work out, and we realize that there is hardly any video. Sorry Ronan, your first Christmas wasn't captured on video.

Let's go fly a kite

Ronan is playing in one of the activity centers at our Indoor Playground. He has been playing in our "office" and even moving around in the walker too. He's a monster.

Have I mentioned how nice it has been here in Portland? I mean, really nice, for days and days and days? Last weekend we went to the park and Jeff and Nora flew the kite. It was nice to have some good wind, because usually Jeff just ends up running laps around the field to keep the kite in the air.

Beer Tasting and Birthdays

A few months ago we got together with Carolyn and Bill and brewed our first batch of beer. After letting it do its thing we finally had our chance to taste it. Excellent. I think Jeff and Bill might be on to something here. The best part is that it was made with hops from our own yard! We did our tasting at Carolyn's house. It was also a celebration for her birthday and another one of Jeff's coworkers, Mary. We had a great dinner and Nora had a great time playing with Mary's son, Nick.

Sun in January? In Portland?

That's right folks, there's no rain in Portland! We've been taking advantage of the sunshine. We went to the park yesterday and Ronan went in the swing for the first time. He was only concerned with what the big sister was doing. Misbehaving of course.

Mini Mato

I'm happy to say that Mini Mato is making a comeback! Nora recently discovered the small tomato that has been living in her room her whole life! We decided to take Mini Mato on a walk today. Nora pushed him in the stroller until I decided that we might move faster if I held the stroller and Nora was responsible for just walking. She put Mini Mato in her "Bjorn" just like Ronan!

Thank you Eric and Brain

Nora (and the rest of us too) went to Eric and Brian's for dinner the other night. Nora's uncles gave Nora her Christmas presents: Princess Movies! She has been obsessed with the Little Mermaid for a few months and we hadn't bought it, but had rented it about a dozen times (I'm sure it would've been cheaper to have just bought it). She was so happy to finally have her own copy. Thank you Eric and Brian!

Marley

Nora changed Marley's name during the holiday season to Olive. Anyone that is familar with the story, Olive the Other Reindeer, should know this is where the name came from. We recently forgot Mar-Olive's shock collar at the Dusty and have been suffering as a result. When Olive isn't barking, he is exploring Ronan's office. He likes it in there. I'm not even making that up.

Nana is vising!

We went to the Dusty (Ocean Park, Wa) over the weekend while Nana was in town. All Nora wants to do now is go camping.
My mom was in town for the week. She can't believe how big Ronan is.

The children are wild, but at least they are clean.

Pinkalicious

Nora loves the story Pinkalicious, about a girl who eats too many pink cupcakes. We have read the story at least a hundred times and finally got around to actually making some pinkalicious cupcakes of our own. We didn't actually get a pictures that showed how excited she was to actually eat a pink cupcake, but it was pretty obvious that she loved the idea. I hope our kids don't end up with diabetes from all the desserts we eat.

Papa's Pizza

We recently discovered a pizza place not too far from our house. It's pretty much a hazzardous playground, but we're risk takers so we always have a good time there. This is a picutre of Nora and Ronan in the Little House. Nora thinks there is a puppy that lives there. She's so strange.
It's not just about the kids having a good time.

Fancy new camera taking wild shots of Ronan on a merry-go-round. Nora loves when he jumps on the back.

We went again about a week later (do they have a frequent users pass?) and the ball pit was overflowing. Nora thinks she's supposed to throw the balls because they do actually have a ball pit for that purpose, it's just not the one she's playing in. I told you this place was a hazzard.

The merry-go-round is a big it. They also have a ferris wheel. That is not a big hit.

Nora's favorite story is Pinkalicious!
