Since I met Jeff, I have told him about Patrick's Point. I used to race there in college and had always wanted to camp there. It's also close to where Eileen lives, so it made sense to try spend a couple of nights here too. My friend, Jessica, was also staying at the campground and we were able to see her and her husband while we were there.
As much as we love to camp, we are starting to realize that it is extremely difficult with a one and a two year old. Everyone tells us that part of camping is getting dirty, however, our children took this to an extreme in a matter of minutes. My favorite part of camping is having a campfire, but with kids it's just a hazard. We actually left on Sunday night instead of Monday because we just didn't want to deal with another day in the dirt. In a couple of years, I know our kids will manage to stay cleaner and camping will become more fun.

campground (#87 if you are planning a trip). Our tent was set up under the trees in a private little cove. It was amazing!
Having
Eileen there was a lifesaver. She helped me take care of the kids, and most importantly, helped me bathe them at the end of the night. The kids loved spending a couple of days with their Coco.
I also wanted to show off our new chair! While we were in California, my dad gave us one of his antique chairs. It's a beautiful cherry wood rocking chair. It was missing a seat so we had it upholstered last week. It turned out fantastic. Thanks Dad!

Usually when we start a project it takes twice as long as we expect and we have to take turns watching the kids and working. This time (the one and only time) the kids enjoyed watching us work and everything went smoothly. They actually look happy!
Ronan is at the perfect age for the Children's Museum. Now that he is walking he is totally free to explore everything on his own. It's amazing how much happier he has been since he started walking. He loves to follow his sister around, but he's also spending more time looking at things on his own. He really loves to push and pull things around.
Sheila had a bunch of her friends over for a BBQ. And of course cake! We forgot candles, but someone found this candle stick. It works.

The one good thing about 100 degree weather is that it's perfect swimming weather. The kids loved being in the pool. Eileen even gave Nora some swim lessons. Tank also took her for a midnight (or 9:00) swim our last night in town.
Nana and Nora would just sit around, snuggling.
We're pretty lucky that we get the "Rose Petal" room when we visit.

Nora loved the sunset most of all. Since then she has been asking when the sun will be setting and if it will be pink. Too bad we don't have a view like this from our house.
